Since ancient times, according to different history background and local customs, Tibetan tea was given names such as Dacha tea, Macha tea, Wucha tea, Dark tea, Crude tea, Southern route tea, Brick tea, Tiaocha tea, Compressed tea, Tuancha tea, and Boarder area tea. Tibetan tea is a kind of complete fermented tea made from one-year ripe tea leaves that picked up from high mountains, whose altitude is above 1,000 meters.
